Welcome to Cape Cod Just Strange on Cape And Islands Paranormal Research Society's website. This page is designed to inform the viewer of how strange things can be on Cape Cod. We know Cape Cod is a very beautiful travel destination for visitors. CAIPRS has compiled some strange stories gathered from visitors as well as residents that are just strange.

 

The Marsh People There are strange accounts of "people" who live on the marshes of Cape Cod. These beings are said to be "human-like creatures" that have been seen in the middle of not one, but many marshes along the Cape. Duck hunters in and around Barnstable have claimed to encounter these creatures along the Great Marsh, the eastern seaboard's largest salt marsh. Are these simply humans from long ago who survived living in remote areas around the marshes or could they be some sort of unknown creatures that dwell in the waters and along the banks of these wetlands? People crossing the marsh have been known to disappear. Were they swept away by the tide, stuck in sink holes, or was it perhaps something more ominous?  Possibly the Marsh People do not like people going near their homes.

 

Jedidia And The Devil   This story has been told on occasion throughout the community of Chatham. Chatham is a small community that is located on the southern tip of Cape Cod.
